International Conducting Academy: A Holistic Approach to Musical Leadership

The International Conducting Academy (ICA) is a new contribution to the  training available for conductors. In launching ICA, Director Jonathan Mann brings to this new venture the experienced he has gained from seven successful years directing the Cardiff International Academy of Conducting. We are delighted that Colin Metters joins the new organisation as Artistic Consultant and Senior Tutor.

ICA's mission is rooted in a holistic approach to conducting. Rather than adhering to a single method, the academy's philosophy empowers each conductor to discover their own path to growth and development. This individualised approach ensures that every participant can achieve their unique potential as a conductor.

**Educational Approach**

The educational framework at ICA is designed to be flexible and supportive. Participants can engage in the entire program of events or select individual projects that align with their schedules and specific needs. 

In addition to live in person masterclasses the virtual course model that ICA offers is unique in combining intensive score discussion with conducting in silence, critical listening of recordings and sessions with special guests who discuss a range of topics.
